CloseMark 1:21–34 | In Mark 1:21–34, Jesus is on the move. With four followers, Jesus enters into Capernaum and begins his public ministry. Whether teaching, healing, or casting out demons, Jesus’s authority is undeniable and astounding. Though it is very early in the Gospel of Mark, Jesus is already beginning to undo what the first man, Adam, has done. Sicknesses flee for him; demons tremble in his presence; Jesus sets the captive free.
