Close1 Thessalonians 5:16–28 | As Paul concludes his letter, he continues to challenge his readers to please God more and more. In this sermon on 1 Thessalonians 5:16–28, we examine Paul’s charges to rejoice, pray, give thanks, respond to the Spirit, and reject evil. This is God’s will for all those in Christ. But thankfully, God has not called us to such a life without providing grace for us in Christ. So, at the end of this letter, Paul prays that God himself will sanctify his people, and Paul points his readers to God’s faithfulness to those he has called and to the hope of Christ’s grace being with his people as they seek to do God’s will.
