Close1 Thessalonians 1:1–10 | As Paul opens his first letter to the young Thessalonian church, he is filled with gratitude to God as he reflects not only on how the gospel entered into Thessalonica with power, but also on how the gospel continues to bear fruit in the church. In this sermon, we examine the reasons for Paul’s thankfulness, including his gratitude to God for how God chose these believers, and consider the nature of true conversion, as evidenced in what happened when the gospel radically transformed these Thessalonians.
