The Teaching from Jesus that We Can't Ignore
Mark 9:42–50 | Mark 9:42–50 contains some of the most sobering and challenging teaching of Jesus in the entire Bible. In this passage, Jesus speaks clearly, directly, and repeatedly about hell. Jesus could not be more serious in this text about the need to do whatever it takes to avoid falling away from Jesus yourself and ending up in hell or about the danger of being the reason that someone else falls away from Jesus. Although this message from Jesus is not at all a popular message, this is teaching from Jesus that we simply cannot ignore.
