The Cross and the New Creation

Galatians

Galatians 6:11–18 | In this final sermon on Paul’s letter to the Galatians, we work through Galatians 6:11–18, a concluding text which Paul penned with his own hand. Just as the beginning of Paul’s letter differs from the beginning of his others letters, so also the end of this letter. Rather than sending greetings and updates on his travel plans, Paul rehearses several key themes from the letter, exposes the motives of his opponents in Galatia, and draws our attention in an unprecedented way to the glory of the cross of Christ. “But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ!”
