CloseMark 4:1–20 | In Mark 4:1–20, there is a noticeable shift in the teaching of Jesus. Beginning in this chapter, Jesus teaches regularly in parables. What are parables? Why does Jesus shift to this sort of teaching? In this sermon, we not only hear directly from Jesus about why he is teaching in this way, but we also examine one of the most foundational parables Jesus ever told: the story of the sower and the soil.
