CloseMatthew 4:16-22; 28:16-20 | In this final sermon in our Church Foundations series, we set out to articulate and explain our mission as a church. What is the church called to be and to do? What is it that Jesus, the head of the church, wants to do through his body? Using the Gospel of Matthew as our guide, we examine Jesus’s initial call to follow him, explore how Jesus develops what it means and involves to follow him, and then end where Jesus ends in the Gospel of Matthew, with his call to those who have followed him to go out and make new followers of him from all the nations.
