Close1 Thessalonians 5:12–15 | As Paul concludes his letter in 1 Thessalonians 5:12–28, he continues to challenge his readers to walk worthy of God. In this broader section alone, there are about 20 commands. In this sermon on 1 Thessalonians 5:12–15, we examine Paul’s charge to the church to walk together in peace. For the church to be a place of peace, there needs to be a healthy, loving relationship between the church members and its elders (1 Thess 5:12–13a), as well as a deep, mutual commitment among all of the church’s members to care for each other’s needs and to seek each other’s good (1 Thess 5:14–15).
