God's One True Gospel

Galatians

Galatians 1:1–10 | In this sermon, we first build a bridge from Paul’s church planting efforts in Galatia to the writing of his confrontational letter to the Galatians, before examining the opening ten verses of Paul’s letter. In these verses, Paul highlights his own call as an apostle and rehearses several of the most precious aspects of the Christian gospel: the substitutionary death of Jesus; the Father’s plan to rescue us through Jesus; the resurrection of Jesus from the grave; and the glory of God in the salvation of sinners. Given how glorious this gospel is, it is no wonder that Paul is astonished that the Galatian believers could so quickly be deserting the God who had called them out of darkness.
